Exploring colour theory through hands-on experiments in mixing pigments has become a focal point in my recent work. This investigation has led me to craft my own oil paints, allowing for a deeper understanding of hue, saturation, and texture. By creating bespoke colours, I can achieve a personalised palette that enhances the emotional and visual impact of each piece, bridging the gap between theory and practice in fine art. 

Recently, I experienced a significant breakthrough by applying the colour theory techniques of the old masters. This deeper understanding has transformed my approach, allowing me to paint more lifelike and beautiful faces—an area I previously found challenging.
